I was delighted to see Google Safe Search and thought it as a nice initiative from Google to let users control what results they get. And since its coming from Google’s stables, I like many others, have taken it guaranteed for a fully tested nice product.
What more you need, just make the Safe Search ON in your search preferences and forget about it. Your minors, little brothers/sisters wont be exposed to nudity fully or partial, and can surf with confidence.
However, I found this feature to not work very well. I can find traces of nudity fully or partial within the first few results of Google Image Search. Looks like Google needs to enforce more stringent algorithms. Check out what I was presented with while searching images.

Almost half (46 percent) of all women said that they would choose the Internet over sex for two weeks (49 percent of women between the ages of 18 and 34 would rather have the Internet than some tender loving, and 52 percent between age 35 and 44 felt the same way).
